Reiya Morishita has become the youngest goalscorer in J3

Cerezo Osaka U-23 defender Reiya Morishita scored a goal against FC Ryukyu on Saturday and broke the youngest J3 scorer record set by FC Tokyo U-23’s Rimu Matsuoka last month.

Now the record is 17 years 5 months 1 day, more than 1 month earlier from the previous record. The academy-grown center back also has the youngest appearance record in J3 League.

Midfielder Masataka Nishimoto also scored the first professional goal and Mitsuru Maruoka made his debut last Saturday after returning to Cerezo Osaka from a loan to Borussia Dortmund. Cerezo Osaka won 2-1 against FC Ryukyu, successfully avoided two consecutive defeats.
