Takumi Nagaishi announced as the first signing for 2018 season

Cerezo Osaka today announced that Fukuoka University goalkeeper Takumi Nagaishi has agreed to join the club next season.

Nagaishi, 21, was born in Yamaguchi Prefecture and entered Fukuoka University, where Yasuki Kimoto also attended, in 2014 after graduating from Takagawa Gakuen High School. He has experiences to be selected to Japan U-17 national team and All Japan University Selection team.

Cerezo currently have two young goalkeepers, Ahn Joon-Soo (19) and Shu Mogi (18), in addition to three more experienced players. Nagaishi’s joining may mean that at least one of them will leave the team at the end of the season, either on full transfer or on loan.
