Cerezo Osaka announced yesterday that young striker Rei Yonezawa, who had played on loan at Renofa Yamaguchi this year, returns to the club as his loan contract is terminated.

The 21-year-old striker appeared in every match at Renofa Yamaguchi under manager Nobuhiro Ueno, but after Ueno resigned from the position in May, he lost playing opportunities (no starts and only 114 minutes in 10 games) according to Football LAB.

Lack of strikers is a problem for the team as they have only a few players who have quality to play for the first team, but Yonezawa’s return won’t solve it. He is likely to play for the U-23 team after coming back to Osaka on Tuesday.
